Steve Ratliff
Association President
Hello, Missouri N Kansas Moose Family. I hope this message finds you well as we embark on the Fall season. I eagerly anticipate seeing many of you at the All State/Chapter Rally in a few weeks. The agenda for the All State/Chapter Rally, along with the online registration, is available.
Last week, while working in Clinton, I visited Truman Lake Lodge on a Wednesday afternoon, also known as “Watering Hole Wednesday,” I was fortunate to have engaging conversations and good laughs with Dan Yulick and Shannon Hills. Steven Reed, the bartender on duty that afternoon, introduced me to member Phil Goth. Initially, Phil tried to keep to himself, but we quickly found ourselves in deep conversation, mainly because I asked where he was from. He revealed that he grew up in German Town and Montrose. I recognized the place and was surprised that he doubted me. After I mentioned that I spent my summers in Appleton City, he believed me. We discovered that we know many of the same people, and now our inside joke is that we might be cousins!
In the picture with me are Steven Reed, Phil Goth, Ken Easter, Mary Sue Goth, Peggy Bruce, Kelly Pace, and Liz Cashell. Shannon Hills was the photographer.
I hope to make random appearances at all of the MOKAN lodges during my term as your President.
During my work travels, I should be able to drop by and say hello to everyone. I also hope to make some new friends along the way.
Thank you to all of you for your unwavering support and contributions to promoting, growing, and strengthening this great fraternity. Every contribution, no matter how small, matters. Together, we can achieve great things!
Fraternally yours,
Steve Ratliff
